I agree that students should have the opportunity to interact with resources and that the interest the professor shows in the resources will spark more enthusiasm in the students and they are more likely to use and get the benefit out of the resources. I also agree with Paul and think it's wise to present resources in a variety of formats. Paper handouts are becoming outdated and costly. Links can be accessed immediately on laptops and iPads and visual and auditory resources appeal to a variety of learners. A book that is highly recommended by a professor can be downloaded in seconds from Amazon! Encouraging students to add resources to the class list is a great way to start them on the road to research and finding credible resources for their own work. D. Reyes

Resources should be presented in several formats - reading (paper), audio, and visual. Students learn in a variety of ways and offering resources in different formats may help reenforce the subject matter.
